Jean Claude Van Damme arrived in Brussels in October 1960, the capital of Belgium. After about five years of studying ballet, the karate began. He left his studies at the age of 16. He opened his own gym in Belgium and sold it after running for a while. He went to America with the money he saved and settled permanently in Los Angelas. After taking part in a few small productions in Hollywood , he played a leading role in "No Retreat, No Surrender " in 1986 .
His fame was captured in 1989 by the film "Kana Kan", which was shown. Professionally involved in bodybuilding played an important role in being an actor. Winning heavyweight and karate championships, Van Damme founded his own production company in France in 1996. He also starred in the "Liberty War", which he directed the same year. MTV Movie Awards have been nominated three times in the "Most Attractive Male" category. In 2011 she made a voice in the Kung Fu Panda 2 movie. The famous actor was married in 1999 to Gladys Portugues, a sportsman like himself.
